Welcome to Room 14 (6th grade SDC)

Dear Parents,

My name is Vanessa Arellano and I am excited to be your child’s teacher and case carrier this school year.  I am looking forward to helping your child meet his/her goals. I believe that by us working together we can make this a very successful year.

I have been teaching for seven years.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and hold a credential in Education Specialist Instruction.   I have been providing specialized academic instruction to students with disabilities for five years.  This school year, I will be providing your child with the accommodations and modifications needed to meet grade level standards.  Our classroom’s paraprofessional, Mrs. Molina, does an outstanding job in supporting all students.

I consider it extremely important that you be an active part of your child's education. You are invited to phone me or visit the school any time that you have a question concerning your child's progress.  I will be contacting you via phone or letter to schedule any upcoming meetings.

I am looking forward to a great school year and meeting each of you. You may reach me at 626-338-4013 ext. 6764 or via email at varellano968@bpusd.net.

Sincerely,

Ms. Arellano
